Harbor Island San Diego Hotels

Harbor Island, on San Diego bays’ northern flank, offers a few great destinations, a wonderful walk and one of the finest views of the city that can be had anywhere other than Point Loma. There are a couple of hotels on the island, along with a few restaurants that offer a commanding view of the city’s skyline. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, or a place for a picturesque walk or run along the bay, then this is your spot.

One of the attractions to the island is its commanding views that can be had from its shores. From the tip of Point Loma to the shores along the city’s waterfront and views of the Coronado Islands and Mexico to the south, it can all be seen from this island. This island offers great bay shore fishing opportunities; wonderful walks and the chance to enjoy some of the San Diego sun and watch some sail and naval boats pass by to ports unknown.

Harbor Island offers a good, albeit short sidewalk on which to cycle or run. Both of these activities will entail leaving the island and following the trail along the bay to the embarcadero area and to Point Loma to the west. If you are looking for a good, moderate duration walk then this, with the views of the city would be hard to beat.
